Red Utopia – Communism 100 years after the Russian Revolution
Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen | ZEPHYR (Mannheim, DE) receives support for the presentation of Jan Bannings ‘Red Utopia – Communism 100 years after the Russian Revolution’. With the project, Banning attempts to document what remains of communism – that is to say, of the dream – without focusing on communist states. The underlying idea is – in addition to making visually interesting work – to contribute to the public debate, in this case about the organization of society and the gap that has been growing for several decades between the rich and the poor, in the Netherlands and abroad.
